部門紹介

当研究部の使命は、「個々の患者さんに最適な次世代の医療を届けること」です。
当研究部では、呼吸器腫瘍内科、胸部外科、放射線科、臨床検査科などの診療部門と連携しながら、我が国における主要な死亡原因の一つである肺がんを中心に、悪性中皮腫や縦隔腫瘍といった胸部悪性腫瘍を対象とした研究を臨床研究中心に行っております。
近年の研究では、多施設共同研究や国際研究も多く行われることから、共同研究に積極的に参画し、多数の治験・臨床試験・観察研究に参加しております。
　具体的に多施設共同研究としては、日本臨床腫瘍研究グループ（JCOG）、西日本がん研究機構（WJOG）、国立病院機構(NHO)ネットワーク共同研究などに参加し、また大阪大学や大阪公立大学とも協同し臨床研究を行っております。

活動状況

　1.バイオマーカーの探索と個別化医療（精密医療）の推進：次世代シーケンサー（）やリキッドバイオプシー（血中循環腫瘍：）技術を利用して、がんの耐性メカニズムについての研究を行ったり、治療前の遺伝子変異の有無から治療効果を予測する研究を行ったりしており、最適な分子標的薬を用いた個別化医療を考えていきます。
　
　2.免疫チェックポイント阻害薬（免疫療法）の最適化：近年の肺癌治療を大きく変えた免疫療法（免疫チェックポイント阻害薬）の効果予測や、特有の副作用（免疫関連有害事象：、特に間質性肺疾患など）の発生リスクを抑えるための画像・臨床因子の解析を、多施設共同研究も含めて、積極的に行っています。

　3.新規抗がん薬（免疫チェックポイント阻害薬や抗体薬物複合体（ADC）など）の治験への積極的な参加：最先端の治療薬をいち早く患者さんへ届けるため、新薬の治験（臨床試験）に先進的に参画しています。従来の治療に加えて、最先端の免疫チェックポイント阻害薬や、がん細胞をピンポイントで狙い撃ちする革新的な「抗体薬物複合体（：）」などのグローバル治験・国内治験を数多く実施し、次世代の標準治療の確立に貢献しています。
