2023年7月1日から、前任の井上義一から引き継ぎ、部長就任。
これまで、呼吸不全研究部と共に共同研究を、リンパ脈管筋腫症、肺胞蛋白症に加えて、特発性PPFE、肺骨化症、アミロイドーシス等について研究を行ってきた。
